Apprentice Yard Person
W Jones and Son has an exciting opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic and hard-working Apprentice Yard person to assist the business, working in the construction sector.
In conjunction with our industry partners at the Builders Merchants Federation, our apprenticeship will use government approved standards and be delivered by industry competent coaches to offer the exact knowledge, skills and behaviours required in this ever-changing industry. The training will be carried out via distance learning and occasional industry seminars.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Preferably have a DIY/Construction interest.

Thrive from Working in a fast-paced environment.
-
Be able to cope with a physically demanding role involving manual handling.

Take responsibility for stock control and ordering supplies.
-
Work in conjunction with Supervisors to ensure all delivery requirements are met.
Monday -Friday 8.00am -5.30pm and Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
When the apprenticeship is completed, there will be opportunities for further personal development training in conjunction with recognised industry training provider.

Trade Counter Supervisor
W Jones and Son is now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hard-working Trade Counter Supervisor to assist the business, working in the Builders Merchants and DIY sector.
The candidate’s main responsibilities will include:

Being motivated with an exceptional work ethic who’s seeking a career in the construction industry.

Working in a merchant sales environment.

Identify and maximising sales opportunities through high levels of customer service and product knowledge.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

Preferably have a DIY/Construction background and interest.

Thrive from Working in a fast-paced environment.

Be able to cope with a physically demanding role involving manual handling.

Take responsibility for stock control and ordering supplies.

Work in conjunction with Yard Supervisor to ensure all delivery requirements are met.
Monday -Friday 8.00am -5.30pm and Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
Salary negotiable – dependent on experience.
Personal development training in conjunction with recognised industry training provider will be available to the right candidate.
